American Standards of Education at AlmaU. The curriculum of the program is formed on the basis of the curriculum of the Arizona State University (Thunderbird School of Global Management https://thunderbird.asu.edu/ ). The content of the courses is aligned with the materials of the corresponding courses from the ASU repository.

Duration of study: 6B04192 Global Management, full-time study - 4 years.

Double degree program in the "3+1" format, i.e. 3 years of study at AlmaU (at AlmaU prices and the last year - study at Arizona State University (USA) in offline or online format.

In 4 years, the student will receive diplomas from Almaty Management University and Arizona State University.

In the case of offline education in the United States, the student receives OPT (Optional Practical Training), which allows international students to live and work in the United States on an F1 visa for 3 years without obtaining a work visa.

Educational trajectories:

There are no trajectories, but students will receive a diploma from Almaty Management University in the Global Management programme and a diploma from Arizona State University in the International Trade programme.

Graduates of this program will be able to demonstrate: skills in managing large international companies using advanced IT technologies, such as big data analysis. As well as manage the development and motivation of a multinational team to achieve the goals of the organization based on modern leadership theories.

Key disciplines:

International Trade and Regional Economic Agreements: The discipline builds an understanding of the latest trends in global finance and trade, as well as in regional trade agreements (GFTAREAs), especially those relating to the national business environment and the global political economy. Develops skills in determining the impact of globalization and regional characteristics on business decision-making and policy at the national level and in the global space.

Big Data in the Global Economy: The discipline builds an understanding of how multinational organizations strategically use big data to gain a competitive advantage in the global economy. Skills in applying methods of collecting, processing, analyzing and evaluating big data for management decision-making. An in-depth understanding of global data and the ability to apply standardization techniques, taking into account differences in collection methods, legal constraints, and cultural interpretation, to provide a solid basis for evaluation.

Supply Chain Operations for Global Organizations: Discipline builds an understanding of the basic elements of supply chain management. Develops students' skills to design an integrated supply chain and assess its alignment with the company's business strategy.

States and Markets in the Global Economy: The discipline aims to master the principles of the functioning of the international economy, which presents enormous opportunities for international trade, investment and economic development, but also risks. Understanding the prospects of trade wars, international financial crises, and increased competition for markets and resources. Skills in assessing the impact of international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization and the World Bank Group on international business transactions. Skills in developing analytical tools to understand rapidly changing and dynamic global policies to anticipate risks and seize opportunities in the global economy.

Global Risk Assessment and Management: The discipline develops an understanding of the concept and skills to assess regional and country risk and its impact on the activities of foreign enterprises and investors, and develops the ability to identify, analyze and develop management strategies to mitigate such risk.

Multinational Organizational Leadership: Explores multinational organizational management strategies, organizational practices/systems, and related management skills that are integral to global competitiveness. Develops skills to understand the application of analytical tools and frameworks, to implement an integrated strategy, and to create and lead competitive teams and people.
